The Letiste Bus (AE for AirPort Express) where you can just walk on and buy a ticket and leave every 35 minutes to an hour taking about 40 minutes to get to the airport ~ right out front of the train station and you can see our hotel roofline on the extreme right of this photo. Just so easy to get around.

Hotel Esplanade on Washingtonova, a classic 1920’s recessionist-era hotel opened in 1927 and has had many prominent heads of state and entertainers stay there. Room was lovely.

The State Opera facade with the golden lyre in the pediment. A neo-Roccoco building from 1888, built originally as the German population’s theatre and renamed to be the State Opera in 1992. It survived the Nazi occupation and WWII.

Statue of Saint Wenceslas took from 1997 to 1924 to complete and is a beloved meeting place for residents who are out for the evening in this area of Prague, about a 6 minute walk from our hotel.

Tourist “train” in the summer palace area. This is not the one that we took ~ we opted for the trams that will take you all over town, hop on and off, and to about 17 different locations, which was just a delight.
